Gibson Holmes
Gibson Holmes, a Miami native, joined the Marble Falls Education Foundation staff in July of 2019. As College/Career Advisor, Gibson’s goal is to further the district’s mission, continue the guidance provided by district staff, and set students up for success as they move into the next phase of their lives. He walks with students as they explore their options and pursue post-secondary education and compatible careers.
Prior to joining the Marble Falls Education Foundation team, Gibson spent a considerable amount of time living in two worlds simultaneously: the university and public school system. While employed by the University of North Florida, he worked in collaboration with Duval County Public Schools in a research-based college readiness infrastructure. After relocating to Texas, Gibson worked at the University of Texas serving on the Gaining Early Awareness for Undergraduate Programs – GEAR UP grant via Texas Education in Manor ISD. Gibson’s work ensures that students are prepared to pursue, enroll in, and successfully complete their desired post-secondary credentials.
